Joint Receiver Design for Integrated Sensing and Communications

In this letter, we investigate the joint receiver design for integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) systems, where signal target echo are simultaneously received processed to achieve a balanced performance between both functionalities. particular, proposed two schemes solve problem of receive processing. The first is based on maximum likelihood (ML) detection, minimum mean squared error (MMSE) estimation interference cancellation (IC), other formulates tailored MMSE estimator that independent detector, which form Non-IC design. We show with structural information taken into account, approach outperforms IC method achieves optimal performance. Numerical results provided validate effectiveness designs.
